Chiropractic Adjustments & Joint Mobilizations

A joint adjustment or manipulation is the chiropractor’s bread and butter (even if it’s not all we do). An adjustment is “high velocity, low amplitude,” meaning it’s a small, quick movement, which we apply to a joint. If that doesn’t sound right for you, we can offer mobilization which are “low velocity, low amplitude,” meaning a small, slow movement applied to a joint. Regardless which you choose, joint care is designed to restore range of motion, reduce pain, and more!

Manual Muscle Release & Muscle Release Technique

Sore and stiff muscles sometimes need a little extra care. Muscle release involves pinning a muscle at its tight or tender point and moving your body to lengthen the muscle. It may also involve using lotion or oil and working the muscle along or across its length. This technique is used to reduce tension, relieve pain, restore range of motion, and encourage proper activation.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Release involves pressing deeply into a tight or tender knot or band of muscle tissue. The pressure not only feels deeply relieving. but releases tension in the muscle, restores blood flow, and resets the muscle’s sensors.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

We use IASTM we treat tight and tender muscles and chronic muscle tension. We use a dull metal blade to provide deep tissue relief, break up adhesions in the muscle tissues and fascia, and encourage blood flow to sore and tense muscles. Patients often feel warmth, increased range of motion, and pain relief with this therapy.

Silicone Cupping

Silicone cups are applied, using suction, to tense muscles, trigger points, or sore body regions. They are then glided over your skin, or you are moved through sore ranges of motion, which often brings about a comforting pulling, tense, or warm sensation. This technique is used to improve range of motion, relieve pain, and increase blood flow, and is a FANTASTIC option for folks who cannot tolerate deeper pressure muscle techniques.
